Our Story…
Our founder. Julie McCarthy began a master’s degree Capstone project that has now become a full-fledged non-profit organization. Greater Things Now Inc.
Inspired by the redeeming story of a woman who grew up in foster homes and found God at a Women’s Conference in Madison, Wisconsin several years ago. Julie felt the Lord’s urging to bring back a God-centered day here in the Madison area, with Jesus at the center. That’s when God began to move, and where obedience followed. A small group began to meet around the kitchen table on a Sunday afternoon. Forming a vision and identifying pillars that would provide the framework: Faith. Hope. Joy and Connection.
In June of 2023. A small group of 5 met in the living room sharing the dream of creating a local Christian Women’s Conference, and the vision became real. The collective passion and excitement in the room was truly a Holy Spirit moment, and the very first Greater Things Women’s Conference was born!
