Yada Fair Trade & Resale was founded by Beth Williams when she said she learned more than 200 people are trafficked in Madison each night.
She launched Yada with the intent of increasing awareness of trafficking and to create a space where vulnerable women and their children could feel supported and known.
Yada has a resale shop where women referred by local agencies can shop for clothing and household items for free.
They’ve also expanded their services to include an addiction recovery group, job training, tutoring, a car care clinic and respite childcare.
Her work shows that human trafficking is happening in Dane County and how residents there can make a difference. Beth believes that every woman needs to know that they are seen, loved and not alone. As she says, Yada helps women go from surviving to thriving!
