Deb "Danny" Glenn
Founder/President of Yonder Star Ministries
Deb “Danny” Glenn is an acclaimed author, adventurer, and inspirational Christian speaker whose mission is to help spread hope, foster love, nurture care, build strong character, encourage inner peace, and strengthen faith by entwining her stories with God’s promises.
As a success strategist, her dynamic presentations inspire and challenge listeners to value who they are and to serve a greater purpose outside of themselves – that for the cause of the Kingdom. Together she and her audiences connect, explore, and discover ways to unlock “The Potential and Power of the Human Spirit: A gift from the Holy Spirit” available to all of us.
Danny is an ordained minister and founder/president of Yonder Star Ministries. She holds a Doctor of Divinity after God inspired her to leave the University of Wisconsin Medical School; He had other plans. Her truth pours out of the Word in ways that are raw, real, and relevant because she knows her Redeemer lives, and that hope, and love are alive.
Her career has been eclectic and her journeys vast. They have taken her to the White House as a singer, the Pentagon as a presenter, the Equestrian World Championships as a rider, and into the Supreme Court as a child welfare advocate. As a pro se litigant she prevailed in her case of fraud against an international lending institution, the sixth largest issuer of Mastercard and Visa. She is a gold medal sculler and is featured in the Wisconsin Hall of Fame as founder of the Wisconsin Lacrosse Federation. She has been part of corporate America as V.P./CVO of a billion-dollar real estate development firm.
Danny’s most recent foray is based on her adventures as a long-distance musher who has logged over 25,000 miles in the back country of America with her 60 Alaskan Husky rescues. She has written a full-length animated feature film based on their antics and their journeys together. The movie manuscript is steeped with scriptural overtones and rich in moralistic virtue. The Disney artist who created the characters for “Beauty and the Beast”, “Mulan” and “The Lion King” will be the Director of Animation. The scenery will be magical. The suspense will have you holding your breath, and the comedy and frivolity will make your jaws hurt.

Karen Klemp
RN, MA
Karen Klemp is a NICU nurse at UnityPoint Health–Meriter Hospital in Madison, Wisconsin, where she has served since 1976. She earned her BSN at the University of Wisconsin–Madison and completed her master’s degree in Collaborative Education and Leadership with a focus on Global Health and Education at Fielding Graduate University in 2010. In addition to mentoring nursing students locally, Karen has led medical mission teams to Guatemala, Tanzania, the Philippines, and beyond, training nurses, midwives, and physicians in newborn and maternal care.
Karen and her husband Rick co-founded Hope 2 Others, a nonprofit ministry dedicated to improving maternal and infant health globally while sharing the love of Jesus. Together, they are Master Trainers in the World Health Organization–recognized programs Helping Mothers Survive and Helping Babies Breathe. For over a decade, Karen and her teams have provided HMS and HBB training to local nurses, doctors, and Maasai tribal midwives in Tanzania, as well as Muslim midwives on Zanzibar Island. She also teaches regularly at the African Neonatal Conference in Arusha and at ALMTC Nursing School in Arusha.
Currently, Hope 2 Others is in the process of building a birthing center and medical clinic near the village of Mto Wa Mbu, Tanzania, to help mothers and babies survive and thrive. By God’s grace, the walls are up, and the next critical step is raising $94,000 to complete the roof before the rainy season in November. Karen and Rick continue to trust God to provide for this life-saving project.
Karen and Rick were married in 1975 and have been blessed with three children—Jesse (Lindsey), Kaitlyn, and Jason (Mary) — and are the proud grandparents of twin grandsons, Miles and Lennon, who are 10 years old. Their children and grandchildren are their most valuable and treasured gifts from God.
Karen’s life and ministry have been shaped by faith through trials. In 1985, when their young daughter Kaitlyn experienced a near-drowning accident, doctors gave little hope for her recovery. Instead of giving in to fear, Karen and Rick chose to trust God for a miracle. Through prayer, persistence, and God’s grace, Kaitlyn survived and continues to be a living testimony of faith and perseverance.
Karen’s passion is to serve others with compassion, bring hope in the midst of challenges, and encourage women to trust God fully. She lives out her calling to be the hands and feet of Jesus, bringing Faith Over Fear into every area of her life.
